Rapunzel by Sarah Gibb

2011/32 pgs

About the Book: A retelling of the Brother's Grimm tale of Rapunzel.

Sarah Teenlibrarian Says: Story-wise, this retelling of Rapunzel is nothing new. It's the same Rapunzel story we've heard before (although maybe a bit tamer than the original). So why do we need to care about another telling of Rapunzel? Because the illustrations are fantastic! Although it's an old fashioned story and it's not updated at all, the illustrations give it an updated and more modern feel. They are full of detail and really make the book stand out. I mean, just look at this page from the book:

Gorgeous right?? This is a picture book you'll want to sit down and pour over the illustrations.

  1. I love that intricate, cut-paper style art. Very classy and perfect for a fairy tale.
