The person who recommended this book to me said they hadn’t ever read another story like it. I agree. I love that it was woven from found vintage photographs. Having the images there as you read, completely made the book for me. I hope the author continues this story. I desperately want to follow Jacob, Emma and the others on their time traveling adventure.

Socksquatch
Words and pictures by Frank W. Dormer. 32 pages.
Socksquatch the monster searches the castle for a sock. He has only one and his foot is cold. After a werewolf, Frankenstein and the Mummy cannot help him, the damsel comes to his rescue and supplies Socksquatch with one of her socks. Spare text and child-like illustrations make for a simple and sweet story.
This was a cute book, but it wasn't necessarily something I'd recommend. It might work well as a supporting book in a story time about socks (and how often they go missing), but the small size of the book would mean it could only be used with very small audiences.
