In the Buddha's Words: An Anthology of Discourses from the Pali Canon

This may seem like a daunting tome to read but really-it has done wonders to calm my constantly churning and slightly panicked mind in the last several weeks as I embark on massive change in my life.

What makes this special is that this is actually the Buddha's words. Not the religion of Buddhism but the Buddha himself who vehemently opposed being refered to as a God. He was just a dude and he was most righteous. There is an index in the back of different topics so if you are struggling with something and need to reflect on clinging, you are guided to pages where the Buddha talks about clinging. A thoughtful and peaceful book full of wisdom. 2005, 484 pages.
