Audition by Stasia Warde Kehoe

2011/464pgs

Audition is a novel in verse about a ballerina, Sara, trying to decide if ballet really is her future. When she is offered a scholarship to the Jersey ballet, she spends a year dancing and soon falls for an older dancer and choreographer, Rem.

I never saw what was appealing about Rem and I found Sara to be an annoying main character. She was very wishy-washy about what she wanted. Even though I didn't care for her, the writing was beautiful and the poems fantastic.
