Socksquatch the monster searches the castle for a sock. He has only one and his foot is cold. After a werewolf, Frankenstein and the Mummy cannot help him, the damsel comes to his rescue and supplies Socksquatch with one of her socks. Spare text and child-like illustrations make for a simple and sweet story. This was a cute book, but it wasn't necessarily something I'd recommend. It might work well as a supporting book in a story time about socks (and how often they go missing), but the small size of the book would mean it could only be used with very small audiences.
