What's the Matter, Bunny Blue?

By: Nicola Smee, 27 pp
Easter is coming and this would be an awesome book to read to your little ones or for Storytime. Bunny Blue has lost his granmother and does not know where to find her. He gets help from all of his friends and she finally appears! It is a happy ending.... So I gave it away, but you need to read it for yourself (or sing it). It is very poetic.

Ducks in a Row

Story By: Lori Haskins Houran, Pictures by: Joe Mathieu

Based on the bestselling books by Jackie Urbanovic, 32 pp

A little duck named Max needs to be needed. He tries to get all of his friends who all have something to do but him, give him something to do to help them. None of them are paying any attention to him.
Then one day Max's three aunts come to visit before the first snow fall and they help him feel needed; until one day it is just too much for Max. He is tired and wants to rest very badly.
Finally, while outside in the garden, he saw the first snowflake! Yay! The aunts could leave now and give Max a break.
As soon as Max said his goodbyes to his aunts, he goes to his chair and hears, "Max!" Oh boy, what now? But it was only his friend, Irene, with a blanket for him to take a nap.

Yum Yum! What Fun!

By: Mara Bergman, Illustrations by: Nick Maland, 29 pp

Katie and James and their little dog, Harry, are very busy cooking in their kitchen. All the while there are noises all around, but they do not notice any of the noises due to their cooking.
There are several surprised guests in their home, but no one sees them. Until the last guest comes in and everyone sees him - even the other guests! A lot of fun in this cute little poetic story! Also Maland has the sweetest illustrations!
I really enjoyed this little book (as if you couldn't tell)!
